Supported by Developing Potential SCIO
Oban Link and Connect
How It Works
Developing Potential first set up the Link Club in Oban in 2015 and has supported its development ever since. Now Link and Connect we meet each week on Fridays from 11am - 2pm at Perle, Oban and on Wednesday afternoons at Oban Baptist Church from 2pm. During the better weather however, you will often find us out and about and throughout the year we are invovled in various activities, .We are a support drop in and offer a friendly, non-judgemental support service for anyone affected by mental health issues or in need of emotional support. Our members offer peer support whilst our staff are here to facilitate, offer support and advice, and also information. We operate a programme of activities and resources and our members decide on the direction of services. We understand that there are times people may not feel able to attend and we will keep in touch with you and support you in ways which you find most helpful. To find out more about Link and Connect visit our FaceBook page, email us or call 07570865429. Following the Covid 19 virus we now also use new ways to maintain and expand services and support you. If you would like to join us please let us know. Often we run the Quiet Zone Hour. A time for Mindfulness and relaxation. usually early evening all members are welcome to join this hour for breathing, mediation and peace in this busy world. Check with us for current details and to join by Zoom. The Quiet Zone Hour is part of our Link and Connect services .
No act of Kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. Aesop
In addition we also operate our Link and Connect Outreach, perahps when someone is unwell or simply when extra support is needed. Our personal and one to one support is there when you need it. Whatever the issue, we are there beside you.
